Is the easyplant pot re-usable?

Updated over 6 months ago

If your plant outgrows its easyplant pot, or does not thrive, you can still re-use the easyplant pot with a plant that you get at your local greenhouse. ๐ŸŒฟ

When re-using for a new plant, you should select a plant housed in a similarly sized growers pot from the store - potting your plant into a pot that's too big will cause it to grow more slowly.

In the easyplant pot, there will be a wick that's drawing the water up from the water reservoir to the plant's roots.

Just be careful when you're removing the old plant that you pull that wick out from the roots so that it doesn't get tangled and damage them.

When you plant a new plant in that pot, you'll want to position the wick just below the roots, or off to the side of them. You'll also want to make sure that there's a couple inches of potting mix between the roots and the bottom of the pot.

If you need to top up the soil for the new plant, any well draining mix formulated for houseplants or coco-coir works best and should be available at most home-stores.
