Taking care of your easyplant is easy, but it is indeed possible to overwater it. To ensure your easyplant receives exactly the right amount of water, fill it up about once a month only once the soil is dry and the reservoir is empty. If the reservoir is not empty or the soil is not dry, wait until it is.
To check if the soil is dry, insert your finger or a chopstick about 1–2 inches into the soil. If it feels damp, wait a few more days before checking again. Additionally, use room-temperature tap water or distilled water if your tap water is softened or hard. When refilling the reservoir, leave about two fingers' width of space to prevent spills and ensure the lid fits properly.
If the reservoir empties quickly after delivery, it may be due to plant stress. Follow the standard schedule and avoid refilling prematurely. If you suspect overwatering, let the soil dry out completely before resuming the regular schedule.

For example, Snake Plants and ZZ Plants require refilling every 60 days, while Jade Plants and other succulents need refilling every 90 days. In dry climates or during winter, expect longer intervals between refills as plants grow and drink more slowly.
