What Should I Do If a Plant from easyplant Arrives in Poor Condition?
Plants may experience cosmetic damage or temporary stress during shipping. If your easyplant arrives with a concern, document its condition and contact easyplant customer service so the circumstances can be reviewed.
No-Return Policy for Plants
Because plants are live products and may not survive return shipping and cannot be resold, easyplant generally does not accept plant returns.
Unless otherwise instructed by customer service, you do not need to send the plant back. Please keep the plant, pot, packaging, and any relevant photos while your concern is being reviewed.
How to Report a Concern
Identify the Issue
Take note of the specific concern, such as:
Damaged, yellow, or brown leaves
A damaged pot or other component
Signs of pests
Significant wilting or decline
A plant that appears different from the size or variety ordered
Provide Photos
Clear photos help the team assess the plant’s condition. Please include:
A zoomed-out photo showing the entire plant and pot
A close-up photo showing the specific concern
Additional photos of the soil, stems, leaves, packaging, or shipping damage when relevant
Contact easyplant
Contact easyplant customer service and include:
Your order number
The email address used for the purchase
A description of the concern
The requested photos
The easyplant AI assistant may help collect information, provide care guidance, review certain eligible requests, or route the conversation to a human specialist when additional review is needed.
Review and Available Resolutions
Each concern is reviewed based on the plant’s condition, the available photos, the order details, and the applicable easyplant policies.
Depending on the circumstances and eligibility, the available next steps may include:
Plant care guidance
Additional monitoring
A replacement
A partial refund
A refund
Another appropriate resolution
Submitting a request or photos does not automatically qualify an order for a specific resolution. Customer service may request additional information before completing its review.
Plant Care During Recovery
Some shipping-related stress may improve as the plant adjusts to its new environment.
Trim Damaged Leaves
Use clean, sharp scissors to trim fully brown or yellow leaves. If only part of a leaf is affected, you may trim the damaged portion while following the natural shape of the leaf.
Avoid removing large amounts of healthy foliage at once.
Choose an Appropriate Location
Place the plant in the lighting recommended for its species. Keep it away from:
Heating or cooling vents
Radiators
Strong drafts
Sudden temperature changes
Harsh direct sunlight unless recommended for that plant
Check Before Watering
Plants may arrive with moisture already in the soil.
Before filling the reservoir, check the plant’s care instructions and confirm that:
The reservoir is empty
The upper portion of the soil has dried appropriately for the plant species
Avoid adding water solely because the plant appears stressed, as excessive moisture may cause additional problems.
Allow Time to Adjust
Minor leaf loss, yellowing, or drooping may occur while a plant adjusts after shipping. Continue following the plant’s care instructions and monitor for changes.
The appropriate monitoring period depends on the plant and the type of concern. Contact customer service if the condition worsens or you are unsure how to proceed.
Coverage Under easyplant’s Plant Health Guarantee
Eligible plants may be covered under easyplant’s 90-day plant health guarantee.
Coverage and available resolutions depend on factors including:
The date of delivery
The plant’s overall health
The type and extent of the concern
Whether the issue is cosmetic or affects the plant’s ability to recover
The photos and information provided
The terms of the guarantee applicable to the order
Minor cosmetic blemishes, normal natural variation, and temporary shipping stress may not qualify for replacement or refund.
An extended guarantee may also be available for purchase with eligible new orders. Its terms, exclusions, and available resolutions may differ from the standard plant health guarantee.
What Should I Do If the Plant Does Not Improve?
Contact easyplant customer service with updated photos and a description of the care provided.
The team can review the new information and advise whether additional care, monitoring, or another resolution may be appropriate under the applicable policy.
Can I Reuse the Pot if the Plant Fully Declines?
The easyplant pot and watering system are designed to work with the plant and growing setup provided.
Before attempting to reuse the pot with another plant, contact easyplant for suitable setup and care guidance. Compatibility and watering needs may vary depending on the replacement plant and pot size.
Should I Water the Plant Immediately?
Not necessarily.
Check the soil and reservoir before adding water. Follow the watering instructions for the specific plant, and refill the reservoir only when the conditions described in its care guidance have been met.
Adding water when the soil is still wet may increase the risk of root stress or root rot.
